They emptied the building this morning , early
Through windows , ignoring the doors , trashing
The long twisted arm of the law cradles properties laid there to rot empty
High Treason, my horse ain’t eaten,
14 miles off the next beacon,
Fleeting Forrest branches beating,
Hoofin over vast uneven roots,
The valleys deepen,
Tread on with armed achievement,
Nobler men than you retreating,
Taking out your legion of recruits
The premise is set and it’s sticking solid
Limbs poking out of the torso folded
Or sprawled in the glare of the sun gasping
While still stacked up out on display , public
Redundant, you’ve up and done it,
Tracked me down only to plummet,
Bodies bound to rest recumbent,
Bathing in my tall triumphant truths,
A real whodunnit,
Thought themselves a worthy pundit,
Unbecoming purple punching,
Paves the way for hundred fallen troops
Packed into your corner as the day resolves,
Is it worth the salt?
Squeezing out the remnants of the wherewithal,
Is it worth the salt?
Scribbled out beginnings from official scrolls
Is it worth the salt?
